Relevant Achievements

Since coming to live in Castlebar 9 years ago, the
following are some of the activities I have been actively involved
in during this time
- Active Member of the Castlebar
Chamber of Commerce since 2007.
- Established a small business called
Fast Eddie Recruitment Agency, since 2005 I have been providing a local
and international recruitment solutions from my office in Thomas Street, Castlebar.
- Participated in a Dáil Debate in the Oireachtas about
Human Rights in 2004.
- Broadcaster and Filmmaker, Broadcasted with CRC Fm in
2001 and produced three documentary style films.
- Involvement in Street Festivals and children workshops
promoting music and culture.
- Speak five languages which include English, German,
French, Portuguese and Lingala.
- Involved in a teaching programme in National Schools
in 2003 with regards to the integration of African and Irish cultures within our schools.
- A member of the Congolese Irish Partnership, an
organisation set up to assist the Congolese people living in Ireland.
- Chairman of African Community in Mayo a newly
established organisation.
- In 2004, a founding member of the
Mayo Intercultural Action
- I have been privileged to meet numerous politicians, key business people; in 2004
I met President Mary Mc Aleese, in 2007 I met The
French Ambassador Mr. Yvon Roe d’Albert and the
Belgian Ambassador Bryan Nason, and also the King
of Belgium.
- It is in my everyday interaction with employers and job seekers at my Agency that
I can see the problems of unemployment in the town.
Promise

If elected my promise to Castlebar is that I will be very proud to be a representative of
all the people of Castlebar.
- The young and not so young
- The people who are happy and the people who are feeling disillusioned
- The people who voted for me and the people who voted for someone else
- The poor and the rich
- The marginalised and the famous
- The business people, the professionals. the employed and the unemployed
- The student and the teacher
- The sick and the disabled.
- Every Nationality that’s living here.
I know that if we work together we can make Castlebar a better place for all our people and
if we speak with one voice we can attract people into our town that will make us all proud to be from
Castlebar.
